ParanormalInvestigations
Investigating Unexplained Phenomena encompasses Ghost Hunting, Bigfooting and UAP investigations.
Ghost Hunting:
Many people can do their own amateur
investigation of basic para-spiritual activity. For people just starting out
and investigating on their own, there are some things you can obtain without
spending a lot of money on equipment at the outset.
If you have a smart phone, you can use
the built in camera to take videos and pictures of suspected unexplained
phenomena.
You can use cameras, like in your smartphone or a camcorder to take pictures and videos of suspected areas where unusual events have occurred. Even if you don’t see anything at the time, still take a few photos or scan with a video camera. Sometimes things can show up on images that are unseen by the naked eye. This is what I call “unexplainable photographic anomalies”, UPA and “unexplainable videographic anomalies”, or UVA.
Orbs are notorious for showing up in
pictures. Sometimes they can be explained by dust particles or flying insects
or light reflections on the camera lens. But every once in a while, they can be
something else unworldly.
Smartphones often have voice recorder apps that can be used to record EVPs. Or apps may be downloaded from the Interweb. And Basic audio tape recorders or portable digital recording devices can be used to capture disembodied voices.
Electronic voice phenomena, EVP; is an
audible voice from a spirit that can be recorded on an electronic device. When
performing an EVP session, start your audio recording device. Then speak and
ask a series of questions out load, like
“is there someone here?”, “ what is your name?”, “why are you here?”. After
each question pause for a moment in silence, to give the entity an opportunity
to respond. You may not hear an answer, but your recorder may pick up something
you did not hear at the time. Afterwards, play back and listen carefully to the
recording and see if you can hear any words between your questions.
Old TVs and radios can be used for white
noise to detect EVP’s. White noise is on
an analog television, untuned to any channel with just white raster snow
background. It can receive audio voices from spirits and ghosts. White Noise is
a type of EVP. Turn on an old TV and dial the channel to one with no picture,
just white raster. Turn up the volume on the TV. Then use an audio recording
device to capture the sound from the TV. Play back the recording and listen
carefully for any voices other than from the people present.
A small digital thermometer, can serve to check for cold spots, at a haunted location. When a ghost manifests itself, they often take heat out of the air and leave a cold chill in the area. A thermometer can be used to indicate where a specter could be lurking. If you can download a thermometer app on your phone, it could be used to detect cold spots which might indicate the location of an unseen presence.
Instead of buying 2 way radios, you can
use your cell phones to talk to other people on an investigation.

Bigfooting:
Gone Squatchin; can be done by going
into a wooded, sparsely populated area and make Sasquatch calls, or knock on
wood and listen for responses.
To conduct a Bigfoot expedition in the
woods, you can go on a simple camping trip in a rural area, if it is not too
far from your home. First go online and view some Bigfoot webpages, like BFRO.net, or GCBRO.net. Look for recent sightings in your area. Then look for camp sites on
the Interweb, that are near the places where sightings have been made. Then you
can setup a camping trip in the vicinity of Bigfoot reports in your state or
region.
Campsites can be expensive. And you will
need some gear, tent(s) and other equipment necessary to sleep out around the
wilderness. You will need to take a camera, and you can utilize an audio
recording device, like a voice recorder on a smart phone.
When you go Squatchin, you can look for
signs of Bigfoot during the day. Investigate the surrounding wooded area,
search for footprints and look for nesting places. Take pictures of any
possible evidence of Sasquatch activity. Then at night you can make call
sounds, imitate Bigfoot vocalizations and listen for responses. Use an audio
recorder to capture any sounds from the woods that could be from the unknown
hominid. You can also knock on trees with a stick, again waiting for something
to knock back.
Bigfooters use some of the same
equipment as ghost chasers;
Thermal
camcorders and trail cams to capture images of
Sasquatch in the forest.
Audio recorders
are also used to capture sounds made by Bigfoot.
Investigators
utilize microphone dishes, some large like 18 inch telescoping
satellite dishes to pick up vocalizations in the woods.
I have even seen on TV where a Bigfooter
used a “sound blaster” to generate loud,
pre-recorded Sasquatch calls into an area in hopes of getting a response.
People can use binoculars to spot creatures
at a long distance away.
Bigfoots have been reported to have a
sulfur smell. Methane detectors might be useful in hunting for the cryptic. Or
we have a built in sulfur detector in all of us, It is called a nose.
Searching for unexplained aerial
phenomena involves interviewing witnesses of unidentified objects in the sky.
People who have done this type of work have come from organizations like MUFON
and the Air Forces Project Blue Book in the past.
One method of looking for UAP/UFOs can be done by sky watching. This is when people go outside at night, to an area where there are not many lights or people. Then watch the sky for unexplained aerial phenomena. Investigators could sometimes utilize telescopes or binoculars to look at the sky, searching for unidentified flying objects. Flashlights have been used in the UK to signal UFO’s and get a flashing light response.
There are UFO detectors available that can be used to alert people when UAP are near. One of these is called the Internal Magnetometer Interfaced. Magnetometer; UAP detector, detects magnetic anomalies. Connects to a PIC microcontroller and costs about $135.
MADAR, Multiple Anomaly Detection & Automated Recording; is a system of computerized, UAP sensing and detection equipment. There are MADAR nodes all over the country. To purchase a MADAR Data Probe costs about $250. It connects to the Internet through your router.
Some people believe that flying saucers could use antigravity propulsion systems that might emit an electrostatic or electromagnetic field. If so, tribo meters or EMF meters might be able to be used to detect unidentified flying objects.
Ufologists sometimes use Geiger counters to detect radiation left behind by an alien spacecraft, at UAP landing sites and in crop circles.
Investigators might be able to use passive radar, (that don’t use a transmitter), to detect UAP in the skies above. Radar has been used by the military ground and aircraft units to track UFOs in the air ways. And civilian airline and air traffic control facilities have also displayed evidence of possible extraterrestrial spacecraft visiting our planet.

Learning how to
do paranormal investigations isn't that difficult. Its not rocket surgery or
brain science.
